Instructions: Hoffman kiln is an old kind of kiln with lower investment, bigger fuel consumption and more pollution. In many nations including all the developed nations, Hoffman kiln had already been eliminated. However, in many developing nations, it is still widely used.
Advantages: much lower investment than tunnel kiln and depend less on the electricity.
Disadvantages: the energy consumption and pollution of Hoffman kiln is at least 20~30% more than tunnel kiln when producing same quantity of products. On the other hand, Hoffman kiln has a much higher requirement of experienced worker. What’s more, it is easy to be affected by climate.
In addition, the products from Hoffman kiln also have the disadvantage of quality and lower hollow rate allowance.
